Dota Underlords is steadily getting better and another update is now out with some interesting new features for playing with a friend in the Duos mode.

You can now get a persistent team for people you regularly team up with. Once you've played three matches with another, it will also unlock the ability for you to actually name your team. You'll be able to change your team name every three matches. Making it more interesting, it tracks some stats too like number of matches played and your record.

There's also now a Ranked Duos matchmaking queue, where progress counts towards your individual rank up to the level of Big Boss. Each Duos team even has their own Duo rank as well.

Expanding it even further, you can also now grab a bot to play in Duos when a friend isn't around and the bot is a little smart with the ability to respond to requests from you.

I've played quite a lot of the Duos mode with our streamer, Sin, and it's really fun. Feels much better than playing by yourself, as you bounce off of each other and work together on how to bring everyone down. It's pretty frantic too actually, give it a try if you haven't yet as you might find something to fill your time with here. It's free so you've got nothing to lose.

Another update is due soon too, which the team at Valve teased about on Twitter saying "Our next major update is almost here, including a new speedy game mode.". I'm quite curious to know more!

During the beta I played a little but found it not so fun. My girl friend love it a lot (played more than 150 h). So, when they introduce Duo mode, I came back to play with her, and yes, this game in duo mode is really fun. More easy to play first, middle and end game style, if I one of the team player always lost at the beginning to build end game deck, it's not a problem, share coin and stack creature for the other is also really cool. Thnak valve to create this mode and let us play with so many smiles and share

I have yet to try playing the duo modes but I find it plenty fun in solo mode.

I just wished that other Underlords would be released because poor Hobgen is not receiving that much love sooo a lot of my opponents are fellow Anessix mains.
