The release of Mad Max [Steam, Feral Interactive] for Linux is fast approaching this week (20th!) and Feral have now updated their website with the minimum and recommended system specifications.

System requirements
Ubuntu 16.04 64-bit / SteamOS 2.0

Minimum
Intel i5 3.4 GHz or AMD FX8350 64-bit processor
8GB RAM
2GB Nvidia 660ti graphics card or better (driver version 367.35)

Recommended
Intel i7 64-bit 3.6 GHz processor
16GB RAM
4GB Nvidia 970 graphics card or better (driver version 367.35)

AMD & Intel GPU's are not currently supported. Since Mesa has made amazing progress this year, I am hoping it won't be too long before they can be pushed up to supported status. The most likely reasoning is that the current stable release of Mesa probably doesn't have high enough OpenGL version support.

How do you think your PC is going to handle Mad Max? Looks like the Recommended requirements are pretty high this time which is a sign that Feral is preparing us for a heavy game.

Will you be picking up a copy? I will hopefully do a livestream of the game once it has released, so keep an eye on our Twitch channel. Article taken from GamingOnLinux.com.

ZOTAC Steam Machine is equipped with a 2.2 (2.8 turbo) GHz i5-6400t CPU, thus fails to meet minimum requirements.

I'll be recovering from medical issues, so this comes in handy.
Still didn't even start Lara, though. :)
But I guess I'll do some hype train jumping!

Ouch... I'm equipped with a plain GTX 660, not the Ti one. It's the first time I'll pass on a Linux game because of not meeting the required horsepower. Doh!

I don't think it will not work reasonably. You're clearly surpassing the other requirements, and the GPU is very close. If nobody else has performance numbers for you, I can check on a GTX660 (i5, 8 GB).

*Edit* Or maybe the GPU RAM is to small? :-/

I don't get that Feral radar. The "Depth charge" thing is closer than Mad Max which is supposed to be released now.
Anyway no, I won't pick up a copy unless there'a a sale.
30 Euro is terribly expensive for me, sorry.

@Liam: skinnyraf marked his desktop environment as "Not listed". I guess something like "Steam Big Picture Mode" should be included for Steam Machine users...

The system requirements are unclear because they specify a very high clock speed CPU and are unclear about wether this can be compensated by the number of cores. The Xeon E5-2670 I use in my desktop has more compute power than a 3.4 GHz i5. Even i5 is unclear, can be anything between Sandy Bridge and Kaby Lake.

Also 3.4 GHz is rather silly as a minimum requirement for a game that can also run on a PS4. Sounds like a bad port.

This will be bought - this game is totally my thing. Open world, driving around blowing things up, bashing goons and watching the sun set in the Australian outback - bring it on!
