Yup, it's teaser time again! Feral Interactive are teasing another new Linux & Mac port on their infamous teaser radar.
You know how this works by now, Feral tease a picture with another clue and we have no idea what it will be until it's released.
Here it is:
Begin the guessing game, what do you think it could be? I think it's good to see another teaser for Linux appear!

Why would that matter? They are paid by the company which owns the game. That company decides.
Sure it's that simple or are you just speculating?
I believe there's also a process on their side involved. Remember they ask for feedback on what to port quite often, with their "requestinator". So yeah, of course they must be approved by the owners, but I don't think they just sit there and wait for someone to knock on their door.

And sales per system is not something sensible in cross platform sales cases. Unless they only count their own store as a system specific sale. Not sure what they'll count in GOG version for example. Number of downloads? Sale itself is generic for all versions.

It waa the same for me when I read it first. AFAIK, afterwards the whole money goes to Feral. But this way, they get the whole risk as well...

Unfortunately it looks like the porting companies have chosen not to add Linux depots on steam too early anymore.
Before we could make good guesses from steamdb's information, but now... too bad ;)
If it would be Nier:Automata... I guess I would instantly buy it. I've heard so many good stories about this game, like its high replay value with different endings and already different starts. I was already guessing that it might come to Linux, as Square Enix started to be quite Linux friendly.
Also Feral started to increase the difficulty to solve their radar riddles pretty much, probably as the community was too quick in resolving them :D
I hope a release it not too far in the future.

Based on the comments so far, and my own personal bias, my feeling is that it will be Shadow Warrior 2 - which is one of my top games, that I want to see on Linux.
Suffice to say, if it is Shadow Warrior 2, then I will be buying it immediately from Feral's own store.
Shadow Warrior 2 is one of the few modern games to use Vulkan, and noting Feral's recent use of Vulkan to upgrade Mad Max (Linux version only, sorry Windows).
Also, I'd be very happy to see Rise of the Tomb Raider as well, which is one of the titles I think Feral might be porting at some point in the future.
Repeating an earlier comment I made about Shadow Warrior - I played the SW 2013 game only a couple of months ago, to improve Linux stats and encourage (Linux porting) action from SW developers Flying Wild Hog.

I might be wrong about the Vulkan bit (sorry if I am). Haven't been able to validate it.
Maybe I got confused with this: Shadow Warrior 2 does support HDR graphics
