Yup, it's teaser time again! Feral Interactive are teasing another new Linux & Mac port on their infamous teaser radar.
You know how this works by now, Feral tease a picture with another clue and we have no idea what it will be until it's released.
Here it is:

Based on what they've ported so far it's also very reasonable to expect a game with a metascore at least higher than 70, probably higher than 80. There are exceptions in their catalogue (F1 being an obvious one) but I think it can work as a general probability filter on the guesses.

Why would that matter? They are paid by the company which owns the game. That company decides.

Am I the only one who is annoyed by and subsequently doesn't give a crap about these "teasers"? If you have something to announce then just announce it.

I think they are harmless and can be fun. Also, they probably can't announce something directly because of contractual restrictions, but doing it as a hint is acceptable I suppose.

...and besides, a really great way to increase hype and get some free marketing before the announce.
As for what this is, I'm pretty sure it's Shadow Warrior (1 or 2), as "Made to Wade" and the japanese tea company would direct. I have only a mild interest on Shadow Warrior, and no interest at all to Total War: Shogun, so I might possibly pick up Shadow Warrior if it turns out to be it.

No. They are paying for the code and the right to port and publish.
You mean right to distribute (in their store)? Either way, my point was, they are paid by those who own the game in some form, either as percentage of sales, or some fixed amount.

But they aren't. They pay, then port, then sell. Not only at their store, all Linux Steam (and other) sales are theirs as well (minus the store's sharr). That's why it's even more important to get the sales numbers for the right system - it's what directly pays their dinner.
