As for the visuals and personality in the game, I think it'll only win certain people over (maybe Apple fans considering all the white). I can appreciate simplicity, but the levels almost feel unfinished. You'll see the same assets again and again, and they have very little in the way of charm. The humorous dossiers in the game didn't really resonate with me either. They range from knock-off Call of Duty villain, to just weird, juvenile, and disturbing. I joked about revenge fantasies earlier, but I really hope the devs really weren't going for vindictive satisfaction. I pretty sure it's all meant in jest, it could just be that kind of Borderlands humor that just doesn't tickle my funny bone. Regardless, I found the writing lacking, and the hints for the secondary objective were sometimes vague and confusing, such as "I think this game needs more special effects, don't you?" Does that mean I need to blow up more cars? Kill the dude via a car+ramp combo? Who knows, but I couldn't figure it out.
The other big problem with the personality is that there's very little of it. Eventually you stop bothering to read the descriptions because the bad guy is always the same guy with a bullseye on his face, so I doubt this could really be considered 'justice porn' even if they intended it. And according to the dossiers you're going around the world and it turns out this world looks exactly the same all over. There are wacky sounds and some of the deaths are kind of funny (Until you start having to use the same methods), but that's about it; the game just lacks a heart.
Wrapping up, there's a few other things worth mentioning. Each act (there are 5 acts with 10 levels each) has a unique mini game: A dead dog flinging game similar to angry birds, a zombie defense style game, and even a lemming style game that almost seemed more promising the the main game itself, if these games weren't all burdened with the janky physics and fumbling controls. There's presumably two more, but I got stuck 25 levels in and I couldn't be bothered to go on. (Still, half way's not bad, yeah?) There's also a multiplayer mode in Beta where you can run around as a guy trying to kill other guys by sabotaging stuff or just gunning people down, but considering the game averages less than 10 people a day, according to Steam Charts, I didn't really care to look more into it. And finally, there's Twitch integration, which leads me to the cynical conclusions that were in the back of my mind when I started this game. This, in my opinion, could be considered a Youtube/Twitch fodder game, or at least I think that's what the devs were hoping would build the momentum, but it's just not very fun to play, and if you're looking for a funny physics puzzler with lots of death, I'd recommend checking out Life Goes On.
Still, this is my own personal opinion, and maybe the game seems like something you'd enjoy. If so, you can pick it up on Steam. It's also in the current Humble Weekly Bundle.
