Project 5: Sightseer [Steam] was love when I first tried it and it continued to be love until you realised how empty it was. The developer is finally making steps to solve this with some PvE content.

My issue with Project 5: Sightseer is that I absolutely love the idea, the main gameplay is quite relaxing, it's beautiful to look at and you can utterly lose yourself in it. That is, until you get further into it when you find out that there's not a lot to do. You've explored, built a base, done some research and then…nothing.

The developer is aware of this, so they've now added NPC outposts you can find as you explore. These outposts can range from tiny resource extractions, to fortified bases. To make it worth your time, they've added a new loot system for this as well! These outposts will usually house some kind of loot container and they may contain some interesting high quality items.

The developer said this is the first of a three part expansion of the game towards PvE content, so it will be fun to see what else they have in store for us. Find the announcement here.

Its good to see some content updates, i got 140 hours out of it. It needs a lot more for me to come back and they need to fix the damn water and nightsky issues on linux client.

So i will probably check again in 6 months, by that time hopefully lots of new content to explore.
