Robocraft jumps on the Battle Pass bandwagon with the RoboPass

By - | Views: 4,056

Robocraft, the free to play action game that has you build robots and fight with them is now doing a RoboPass to unlock cosmetic items.

Like other games have, the RoboPass has two tiers. One is entirely free and the other you pay for, so that everyone can unlock a few things. So it works like Fortnite, Rocket League and others.

I much prefer this pass system to Loot Boxes (which Robocraft completely removed) for games to get a little extra revenue. They don't affect the gameplay, they're entirely optional and if you do decide to buy the premium tier you know exactly what you're going to get at each level. With it, you will be able to unlock new spawning animations, new destruction animations, cosmetic blocks and so on.

If you own the "Premium For Life" supporter package, you will get a 50% discount on the premium tier along with faster EXP gain to unlock cosmetics more quickly.

See their announcement here on Steam.
