The board game Gloomhaven is getting a digital adaption that's coming to Steam next year, the developer said they're keeping an eye on Linux support requests. Publisher Asmodee Digital has announced they've teamed up with developer Flaming Fowl Studios for it.

Here's what the developer said on the Steam forum:

Keep chiming in on this thread if Linux is your preferred platform, I'm keeping an eye on it. The more people that want this the better the chances are that we'll be able to make this happen for you all (I can't promise anything though, ultimately it isn't up to me. But being able to say loads of fans of the game have asked for it will help a lot to persuade the people making that call).

So if you do want to see it on Linux, giving it a post to let them know in this linked forum topic might help. If you do wishlist it, be sure to set Linux as your platform preference on Steam, you can do so at the bottom of this page.

They also put out a teaser video recently, although it doesn't show much at all:

PatolaAnd the developer asked for this type of feedback.
Yes, and that's why I said I really don't understand this attitude from developers. Of course there are Linux gamers who will be interested in his game if he makes it for our preferred OS. It's a question that doesn't need to be asked.

PatolaDon't be so grumpy.
Sorry, cynicism and sarcasm are my default modes.

Hmm the no multiplayer part bugs me out as well.
Also , kinda lost hope for these kind of "comment here if you want linux" things.

There will be multiplayer.
BrynnvincibleI can confirm that while the early access version will only have the single player rogue-like, based on the community feedback you can expect to see online coop and the full campaign being worked on as a priority after that.

I play the board game with two of my friends on a regular basis, about once a month. It's really good. It's also huge and takes a lot of setup time. I'm very glad that one of my friends took on the board game hobby to a level way beyond myself because he buys and then learns and teaches all the games.

For that reason, I actually don't plan on buying the computer version of Gloomhaven. I am already experiencing the game. On computer, I'd rather play a game like Sword Coast Legends or NWN.

The Teaser is horrible. I have no idea what this game is about.
