We knew that the rather good rogue-like RPG Depth of Extinction was releasing soon and now we know how soon, this week on Thursday it will be available across a number of stores.

Inspired by the greats like XCOM: Enemy Unknown and FTL: Faster Than Light, it follows you trying to save humanity from some sort of vicious AI. You will have to build up a mighty squad of soldiers, level them up and get some decent equipment as you travel through a future set around 500 years after rising water caused humanity to edge on the brink of extinction.

The release is going to be on Humble and Steam so you really have no excuse not to grab it (okay, being broke is a valid excuse), so much choice! The price is also now confirmed, with the normal price being $19.99. It's going to launch with a 10% discount, which will run until October 4th.

As I said before, I've already had a lot of fun with this. I expect it to do really well!

I've had this since First Access on Itch. Great game! The tbs is pretty solid, the FTL like map and missions are cool, the pixelart is great! I fully recommend this game to anyone that likes squad size tbs or JA like games.
