Can someone make some SteamOS vs Win 10 benchmarks with the Unigine Valley, Tropics, Sanctuary and Heaven?

For this benchmarks you should use the Nvidia 358.16 and the the last Kernel 4.3.0 in Linux side.

On Windows the latest Nvidia driver (No Beta).

Heaven 4.0 Settings:

Valley 1.0 Settings:

API: openGL (Linux and Windows)
Quality: Ultra
Stero 3D: Disabled
Multi-monitor: Single

Resulotion: the highest that goes with you monitor

Sanctuary & Tropics 1920x1080_fullscreen Settings:

Video:

If you don't have the Unigine Sanctuary & Tropics Benchmarks for Linux and Windows, you can get this from me.
The other 2 Benchmarks you get here: [https://unigine.com/en/products/benchmarks](https://unigine.com/en/products/benchmarks)
Upload the benchmarks then as compared videos on YT, please.

The latest SteamOS kernel is 4.1 and the latest Nvidia driver is 352.55.

I suppose is still possible to download latest kernel and drivers from different repositories, right?

Yes, but if you strip SteamOS from its kernel/drivers there is nothing much left that can be called SteamOS.

I refer as SteamOS more to the GUI. Independently of what was underneath. My bad if that's incorrect.

Ah, OK.
Well, you can take the opposite way: get a Jessie minimal install, add steamos-compositor + steamos-modeswitch-inhibitor (and some other specific steamos packages if you like) and you'll end up with a sort of SteamOS which can be used to experiment with various drivers and kernels.
Indeed, what makes SteamOS different in terms of performance is (mainly) the custom kernel and the window manager (steamcompmgr).

Actually that could be quite interesting to compare vanilla SteamOS and custom ones :)
