Title: Jonathan Blow Speaks about Mainstream Games
Brandon Smith 9 Mar 2012
As a game designer, I think a lot of the things this guys says are really validating. That's exactly what I like games to do, give the player a sense of discovery and growth as they figure out how to play the game. And man he nails it about what most Japanese developers are doing these days.

Well to be fair, I loved a lot of recent Japanese games. Dark Souls, Metroid Other M, and Ace Combat 6 were all games that I played recently and loved. Those were some really challenging games.
Though I also played the new Zelda , cool interface, but just felt so insulted while playing that. Plus it was like they didn't care about my time, with the ridiculous amount of filler there was.
