The website is shown as not trustworthy, at least on my Opera Browser, but it is a trustworthy one.
A few years ago they produced Solaptops only for the so called 3rd World Countries in cooperation with a Non-Government Organisation to help people there. The OS they had pre-installed was Ubuntu only.
Now they offer Windows, too.
So far they have no real gaming Notebook, but maybe with the actual i5 CPUS and an extra grafic card (which should be most of time in sleep mode or whatever and only be activated if you need it) it could be possible to make one.
What do you think about it?
Would it be worth to ask them to create a gaming Solaptop?
We anticipated the harsh conditions and far-flung places where SOL might be used so we designed the solar-powered laptop to stand up to the elements, and then some.
We built the utility SOL to endure beyond the norm, which is why we designed the 13” patented screen from scratch. We used durable reinforced materials and a complex industrial design and architecture to keep the laptop from not letting you down whether you’re on land, air or sea. We expect SOL to survive the forces of nature.
A Battery Of Reasons For Choosing SOL
By harnessing the power of the sun into a long-lasting battery, SOL is a sustainable green computing machine built for people with no access or little access to stable electricity. And at sundown, the computer’s core architecture works with a battery that allows you to work or play well into the evening on a single charge.

Would be nice if they would send one to liamdawe to test it, if he would like to do that :D
Warranty only one year is hmmm quite low (looks like they do not really trust their own product) but what did they told ... "We used durable reinforced materials and a complex industrial design and architecture to keep the laptop from not letting you down whether you’re on land, air or sea. We expect SOL to survive the forces of nature." ... The warranty should be at least 3 years (they seems to be really weak in marketing in general)
