Titan Quest Under Proton - texture/graphic issues
MaximB Oct 13, 2018
Hello,
I'm running this game under Linux using Proton,
The game starts good, however I cannot see my character (only the weapon).
When I lower the "detail level" to normal or low, most of the character is visible, except for the leg, and part of the hand and the armor doesn't change, and also some monsters are still invisible.

I played with the graphic options but this didn't help.

I also run a few commands with no difference:
WINEPREFIX=/home/maxim/Games/Steam/SteamApps/compatdata/475150/pfx winetricks msxml3 d3dx9_36 corefonts

And tried changing the OS to WinXP and Win10:, but this didn't make a change
WINEPREFIX=/home/maxim/Games/Steam/SteamApps/compatdata/475150/pfx winecfg

I see that many users managed to run this game perfectly, and I wonder how I can achieve it too.

Thank you,
Maxim.

Thank you:
"To work around invisible characters, the registry key CheckFloatConstants has to be set to true."

But how do I do this? what registry? where is the registry?
MaximB Oct 13, 2018
Ok,
I've tried the wine regedit solution here:
https://www.reddit.com/r/linux_gaming/comments/68eiyk/looking_for_a_good_arpg_help/

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Wine\Direct3D]
CheckFloatConstants="enabled"

Sadly it didn't help.

Thank you,
now it works!

I edited the global registry and not game specific registry.
