Mortal Kombat X runs slowly
MaximB commented on 18 October 2018 at 6:27 am UTC

Hello,
When starting MKX under proton (Steam), it starts normally, the pick a character screen is also kinda normal.
But the battles themselves are "matrix bullet time" style,
Sometimes they begin at normal speed and all of the sudden gets slowed,
Some characters seems to survive longer time from being slowed,

I've tried lowering the resolution and all graphic options, disabling v-sync - but nothing seems to last.
I've tried playing with start options:
PROTON_NO_ESYNC=1 PROTON_USE_WINED3D11=1 %command%.
But it doesn't seems to do the trick.

If my hardware was weak for the game, than the start of the battle would also be slow - but it begins normally usually.
I am using Nvidia with latest stable Nvidia drivers, under Ubuntu 64-bit.

This is just an idea. Try disabling CSMT in Wine. For me it slowed down Star Wars Galactic Battlegrounds menus/screens.
