Has any one gotten space engeneers working?

I had read that a few people got it to run on redit and following their directions I am not able to get it going. it requires .net 1.7.2 vc2017. I can only get .net to install if i get it from MS and not from wine tricks. it flashes the start screen and crashes.

Im running ubuntu 18.04 for now. though im up for new options since they got stupid with 32bit both server and desktop wise.
