Darkest Dungeon won't start on Linux Mint 19.2
MadVillain Sep 10, 2019
Hi everyone,
Recently I've reinstalled Darkest Dungeon (on Steam) after a long time and it just would not start.
I tried switching from Linux-native version to Proton, but result was the same.
Have anyone encountered this problem?

I assume other games work fine?

If this ever happens always run it in terminal so you can give us the output.

Didn't know I could do that.
Well, I launched game via .../SteamLibrary/steamapps/common/DarkestDungeon/_linux/darkest.bin.x86_64 and it worked just fine.

UPD:
So, It turns out I had some broken launch options provided for the game.
Some time ago I tried Feral's "gamemod" and launch options has stayed from that time, with "gamemod" itself deleted a long time ago.

Glad to know you sorted it :)

My first step, whenever a game doesn't work is to run it in terminal. 90% of the time that will show me something is up.
