Mesa PPA / Kisak as alternative to Padoka PPA
KuJo Oct 21, 2019
For those who don't want to compile Mesa themselves on Ubuntu or a derivative of it ...

I have used the Padoka Stable PPA so far. However, updating to Mesa 19.2 is a long time coming. Probably Paulo Dias currently has little or no time for it.

However, there is now an alternative. Kisak is currently developing a PPA which will be updated after the release of Mesa 19.3 to the respective point releases:

-> https://launchpad.net/~kisak/+archive/ubuntu/kisak-mesa

QuoteThis PPA is starting with RADV/ACO support and will be transitioning to the latest point release of mesa and LLVM similar to Padoka's Stable PPA.

Quotemesa - Will be transitioning to point releases after 19.3.0

I'll definitely be watching it closely.

Thanks for the heads-up. I switched to this PPA from Padoka Stable last night just to give it a quick spin. Works fine on my Mint system. I didn't have any heavier Vulkan titles installed, but ACO seems to be functional as well. I don't think I'll switch back unless an update breaks something.
