Big performance issues on Battlefield 1
vivian-botte Jun 30, 2020
Hello,

I would like to have help on this game, unfortunately I only play at 30 fps maximum with stutters on Proton 5.0.9(and 5.11GE) yet the game is rated gold in Protondb(120 to 200 fps in menus)...
However my configuration seems good enough to play this game especially I play GTA V in Ultra 60 fps without issues and I watched a lot of videos with people having a worse processor playing on wine/dxvk with a more impressive fps than mine

So here is my config: Intel® Core™ i5-2500K 3.7Ghz(OC), AMD Radeon R9 Fury Nitro X, 8gb of ram.
I noticed that my vram is highly used(around 95%) and my cpu and ram 90% too..

I've already tried many things but I didnt manage to remove Origin InGame.. (I put off it with Wine(in compatdata folder, but it stays in the game)

Thank you in advance for your help

Thank's for the tips, I already tried with gamemoderun and the "perm fix" and I increased my fps but my game still stutters.. I've like 20-30 fps now. At the start of a match, it drops to 8 fps during 1-2min and after it's smoother(20-30) but sometimes there are drops, I've an icon(sort of video icon) on the right of my screen.

I can put High or Low graphic, the result is the same, I don't even increase my fps when I try to put low config..

That's a shame to hear, aside from those two fixes, I'm not aware of another solution at this present time. If you do manage to sort it, please reply here, as I'd love to hear how you did it. Take care and I hope you can get a smooth(er) gaming experience!

I just find a way to solve the issue, I just switch to Wayland and the game doesnt have any more stutters! I'm running at 50 fps, it's not much but playable
