True enough, but I wasn't really talking about that, instead suggesting why on a GNU/Linux oriented gaming site, open source games are more likely to be in a package manager than Steam.
There's also other considerations for the likes of Steam, and I guess itch.io, for community driven projects as alluded to in the blog post from Xonotic: who controls the account?
