Title: glitchy steam client web rendering on X11
ExpandingMan 2 Jun 2022
Recently I've started experiencing an irritating problem with the steam client web browser (e.g. the steam store) on X11. I am using qtile (config [here](https://gitlab.com/ExpandingMan/qtileconfig)) but I don't know of any way that a window manager can cause the kinds of issues I'm seeing, so it is very likely an X11 issue.

Anyway, it's hard to get a screenshot since the glitches are sporadic and depend on cursor position. As one moves the mouse or scrolls the screen in the steam client, there will be "blocks" which do not render (i.e. you just see background color).

The problem only starts to occur once I suspend the machine with steam running, and can be solved by closing and restarting steam entirely.

Anyone else seeing this? I'm not even sure whether it was a steam update or a linux update that started this problem.

Try a different Window Manager and see if the problem persists, if it doesn't then I'd recommend writing a bug report to the QTile team.
