How to setup OpenMW for modern Morrowind on Linux / SteamOS and Steam Deck
How to install Hollow Knight: Silksong mods on Linux, SteamOS and Steam Deck
I'm running a clear Arch Linux install (Plasma DE). I have installed Steam and gamescope using flatpak. I have two problems:
- gamescope is not working as it should. My screen is 1920x1080 so launching steam games using gamescope -h 720 -H 720 -- %command% should result in a smaller window but they are running fullscreen at native res (this is only a test to check is not working). However gamescope seems to be launching and this links to the second problem.
- after exiting games a gamescope-wl process keeps running and steam gets stuck in exiting game. Killing the process manually makes steam detect the game is closed and I'm able to run it again.
I really want to setup steam using flatpak as I do not want to pollute the system with 32bits libs.I'm sure it must be something I'm doing wrong.
