I am having a problem with the game Hogwards legacy that I am trying to run on linux. (archlinux).
I mostly just want to put a name to this problem. I think it is not screen tearing.
I don't understand much about what proton is and vulkan shaders. I just run the game from steam.
I think the following images will illustrate well my problem:
this one looks fine:
but these one clearly don't:
these ones the problem is more understandable with movement:
and then it suddenly goes fine:
another that looks fine:
until it suddenly doesn't:
notice how the background always looks fine. it is just some characters that look terrible:
I have a rtx5060ti 16gb. 32 gb ram. recent ryzen 7.
I am connected to a 1440p display with display port with 140hz I think.
