This is your once a month reminder to make sure your PC information is correct on your user profiles. A fresh batch of statistics is generated on the 1st of each month.

You can see the statistics any time on this page.
While we don't currently have a drop-off implemented for old/stale data, it will be coming soon. If you want to make sure you're included at any time clicking update without any changes will update the last time you edited them.
The drop-off for old data will be done in months, since people aren't likely to change hardware that often.
Some you may have missed, popular articles from the last month:
All posts need to follow our rules. For users logged in: please hit the Report Flag icon on any post that breaks the rules or contains illegal / harmful content. Guest readers can email us for any issues.
There's one little annoyance for me with this PC info system. I have two GPU's but can't enter that into the statistics.

I think you should reformulate the Wine question to a thing more like: "How often do you use Wine to play games", and options like "Never", "Sometimes", "Frequently".
In the last 3 months I've had literally over a half-dozen of distros installed on my computer, but I'm liking so much Fedora that I think I'm gonna settle for now.

There's also the fact that the info is for the "main gaming computer" and I have 4 computers, one that is very old and 3 more modern that I occasionally use for gaming depending on whether I'm at home or away and also dependent on what time of year it is. (during the warmer part of the year, may-sept, I hardly use my "main computer" at all, instead I use either a laptop or a desktop that is in a room below ground level, for coolness sake)

One suggestion about dual-booting. It's probably better to ask: "Do you dual-boot with Windows?" Since some might dual-boot with FreeBSD or the like :)

I use both. Which one am I going to prefer this time for statistics...? :)

At this question : "Do you dual-boot with a different operating system?"
You can answer :
-Yes Windows
-Yes Mac
-Yes ChromeOS
-Yes Other
-No
I think it's nice, maybe you'd like to replace "Other" by BSD-Like ?

Can't constantly change them and please everyone, as far as I'm concerned it's okay how it is and covers the main types people may do.

When was the last time you used Wine to play a Windows game?
Me: Nearly 3 years. Mainly use Wine for apps that are not exist in Linux (very rarely).
Another example is Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS a.k.a former Soviet Union countries), while we know Russia culturally is European (even do 70++ % of its area is in Asia), some CIS countries consider them as one of countries in Europe even do geographically isn't.
Probably Liam should open thread to discuss this further.
Lastly, I'm against country-based statistic as certainly will causing HUGE infighting among us. Please do not open that can full of toxic worms.

I hope Liam would consider including how many GoL members there are in each continent.Agree. But before that, we (GoL readers) should define which are consider as the continents. For example, What I learned in school was the Americas continent is considered two continents, North and South which Panama/Colombia border is the seperator. But, some people consider the Americas as one continent.

From what I remember in my grade school days, there are 7 continents:
North America
South America
Africa
Antarctica
Australia
Asia
Europe
And the people of Cuba or El Salvador live in...?

That must be some per country education rule. In my country America is just one continent (as a whole) and the North, Central and South are just regions.

While it seems quite natural to part the Americas (they're only connected by a rather small "passage") (*) , the parting of Europe and Asia seems quite unnatural when looking at a globe, and the "border" is not clear either.
(*) Liam! Please!
