It's that time of the year, the Steam Halloween Sale has officially begun so you can scare yourself silly with some freaky new Linux games.
As always, we've searched high and low for some of the best and most interesting deals for you. Here's our top 10 picks of games from the sale to take a look at:
- For those that still don't own it, Left 4 Dead 2 is a quality bit of fun with friends which can now be had with 80% off.
- If you're in the mood for some music-themed roguelike fun, Crypt of the NecroDancer is 80% off
- Find some tombs, hunt down some nasty people and get caught up in it all in Rise of the Tomb Raider with 75% off
- Metro Redux Bundle (2033 Redux and Last Light Redux) fires some shots with 75% off
- If some punishing RNG doesn't scare you, Darkest Dungeon is lighting the way with 70% off
- For some laughs and some absolute evil, Dungeons 3 is 67% off
- The End Is Nigh for that difficult platforming you love so much has 50% off
- If a chilling adventure through Hell sounds good to you, Pinstripe is an excellent choice with 50% off
- One of the funniest experiences I've had for a while, Guts and Glory is cutting everyone up for 50% off
- My personal love and current addiction, Rocket League is boosting high with 40% off
Honourable mention to Full Throttle Remastered which is 40% off, but it's much cheaper to get it in The Humble Day of the Devs Bundle 2018.
As always, there's plenty more on sale and I've no doubt I've included plenty you already own. Check out the rest on Steam. Use this handy link for all Linux games and DLC currently on sale on Steam. For the Halloween Steam Page, click here.
Also, it's typical of this to go live literally as I hit publish on the post about GOG and Humble Store also having a sale, with some of their deals actually being better than Steam's.
Quoting: trawzA little disappointing. I was really hoping for Celeste to come on sale, or some Total War games. Darkest Dungeon is 100% recommended though, really fun game although it can get quite hard.Well [Total War: SHOGUN 2 Collection](https://www.humblebundle.com/store/total-war-shogun-2-collection?partner=gamingonlinux) is on sale on Humble with 6 hours left.
[Total War: ATTILA](https://www.humblebundle.com/store/total-war-attila?partner=gamingonlinux) is also on sale on Humble Store with 6 hours left.
[Medieval II: Total War Collection](https://www.humblebundle.com/store/medieval-ii-total-war-collection?partner=gamingonlinux) also on sale on Humble Store with 6 hours left.
And more on [Humble Store](https://www.humblebundle.com/store?partner=gamingonlinux) take a looksie, hope it helps (affiliate links as usual).
Quoting: EhvisAnd as usual in this list, Oxygen Not Included is only -45% if you own other Klei games. If not, then it's -25%.If only Steam actually mentioned that, if only. Removed it since it's not that good a deal then. Replaced with RotTR.

I picked up Observer, First Winter and Paratopic for some creepy Halloween gaming, and I picked up Kerbal Space Program and Lamplight City because they were good deals. All discounted for the sale.

[Bioshock: The Collection](https://store.steampowered.com/sub/127633/) is on sale to..
You have 1 native Linux game and 4 Proton games, all counted as a Linux sale.
Should I buy Left 4 Dead 1?
I do have pirated copy but I unsure to buy the original one as it didn't support Linux. But right now with Steamplay support, I really tempted to grab it. Opinions?

Also you get a free game with indiegala purchases at the moment: https://www.indiegala.com/promo-scratchy-sale
I got Space Hack: https://store.steampowered.com/app/315260/Space_Hack/ which seems to work with proton: https://www.protondb.com/app/315260
Quoting: tonRJust wanna ask y'all...It predates Steam for Linux by half a decade, so for sure falls under the "Make oldies run" rule. So... Yes.

Quoting: trawzA little disappointing. I was really hoping for Celeste to come on sale, or some Total War games. This is a Halloween sale, so mostly "spooky" games are discounted. Wait for a month for the Autumn Sale.
Quoting: tonRJust wanna ask y'all...L4D2 contains all the campaigns of L4D1, so there's no point in buying L4D1. Buy a Linux game instead.

I hardly play anything but the Truck Sims these days, it's just so d*** relaxing!

Quoting: MerpIt doesn't seem to have very good support: https://www.protondb.com/app/500I'd already made a decision. I won't buy it as it's "borked" status. Better keep my cash to refuel my bike. Thanks people.. :D
Quoting: Stupendous ManI bought the Italy DLC for Eurotruck Sim 2 - not sure what's so spooky about it that it's on sale though ;-)IMO in ETS2, driving anywhere in Sicily is very "spooky". Try it.
