SWAPMEAT is an upcoming roguelite third-person shooter where you tear through alien worlds, harvesting body-parts to steal their powers. There's a new Steam Playtest demo available, which has a Linux version that will be live until May 22nd. This is the final playtest before launching later in 2025.
More about it: "In SWAPMEAT, players step into the boots of Meat Scientists working for the multi-galactic corporation Rangus Meats. Your mission? Raid the weirdest worlds in the cosmos, engage in exhilarating third-person combat, harvest DNA samples from the locals, and extract the planets’ meat cores. Whether solo or with a four-player co-op squad, you’ll battle alien weirdos and beefy bosses for their meaty trophies. As you loot body parts – from heads and legs to torsos – you’ll enhance your character with game-changing abilities, switching up playstyles on the fly using Rangus Meats’ patented Smart Meat technology."

Speaking to their PR team over email, they confirmed it's getting a Native Linux release. The Playtest also has a Native Linux version. They mentioned "We can confirm, yes, the game is getting a native Linux release, for Steam OS specifically with YMMV on other distros." and "Jamie Stormbreaker, the CEO and Lead Game Designer at One More Game is committed to having the game support Linux, proper.".
Nice to see. Hopefully it works out well for them.
The game will be launching later in 2025.
