Lenovo Legion Go S with SteamOS now listed for purchase in the UK

As the release of the Lenovo Legion Go S with SteamOS is approaching, multiple retailers now have it listed in the UK ready for delivery. Valve are still working on SteamOS support for it though, which is perhaps just a little worrying as seems like it's coming out of the gate pretty hot.

Today I spotted it now live for sale in the UK across these stores below.

Lenovo direct:

Lenovo list both models with 32GB RAM. Lenovo also haven't correctly updated the page for the Z2 Go SteamOS version yet. It says it has SteamOS but the rest of the store page is just like the Windows version, whereas the Z1 Extreme properly lists SteamOS in the full info outside the specifications. Seems like they're still sorting the store pages.

Very:

Very list it with 16GB RAM.

Currys:

Currys list both models with 16GB RAM. Curiously, they only list them on their Business store, not the normal store.

While it's good to see more devices with Linux beginning to ship, I really think the mixture of different specifications makes it more confusing for consumers.

You can also follow along any future articles using our Legion Go S tag. As a reminder, every tag here has a dedicated RSS feed too!

Will you be picking one up? Or are you sticking the Steam Deck or a different handheld?

Bug Lenovo for me, since they don't reply to my emails. Or have a rich friend donate one for ongoing use 😇

Releasing a new device for gaming that runs Linux. "Hey, some guy who runs like the most prominent website for Linux gaming wants to talk to us. Should we answer?" "Nah. What good would that do?"
