It took around 10 years to make it fully happen but the 3dSen emulator is out now with the 1.0 release for both the PC and VR releases.
A true passion project from the developer that took "countless late nights, mysterious bugs, painful rewrites, and yes, constant back pain". It's not some gimmick either, it's not fake 3D. It turns NES classics into full playable 3D voxel dioramas, making them feel like something extra special. It's a properly transformative project.

All you have to do is leave a comment with your favourite NES game. Winners will be messaged Monday, 30th June after 7PM BST. You can also check out their Steam guide 3dSen NES cover art packs.

Contra 1 and 2 (aka Probotector in Germany) are right next to it though. And Elite, and Pirates... and Maniac Mansion.
Oh man, such good nostalgia.
Let's go with Blaster Master, if that game had had battery save (or even long cumbersome passwords), it would have been so ahead of its time, but with it being so hard, so long and without the ability to save, a lot of gamers understandably skipped it.
If I can pick homebrew then my favorite NES game is Alwa's Awakening. If not, I'll take Blaster Master as well.

The original Castlevania is one of my all time faves.
These days, I'd probably want my classes to actually work, though, so I'd say romhacks are recommended for anyone who wants to dive in ;)
