Fans of automation puzzle games and titles from Zachtronics might like Number Machine, an open-ended factory and automation game with math mechanics. Coming in 2026 from developer ARIELEK, who previously made Please Fix The Road.
The developer was directly inspired by Opus Magnum and Infinifactory for this one where you design build, and optimize factories that automatically assemble and deliver complex numerical structures.

More about it: "Build fully autonomous factories on a hexagonal grid using specialized machines. Move, combine, split, destroy, and modify numbered orbs with math to form the required structures with specific shapes and values. Use conveyors, pushers, lasers, magnetism, rotators, and much more to create an efficient system. Optimize for size and speed to climb the leaderboards... but be wary: one small oversight and your entire design can fail!"
Has a nice style to it as well, very clean and inviting. The developer mentioned how all "animations are seamless, with a single continuous camera movement from start to finish".
It will release with full Linux and Steam Deck support. There's no demo yet but the developer told me they do plan to launch a demo before the release.
This one seems to lean more to space restrictions, so I hope this one provides some more challenge while keeping sufficient room for varied solutions. Will definitely try the demo when it drops.
