Valve have released SteamOS 3.7.14 Beta, which for Steam Deck LCD owners is probably going to be popular as it brings back wake-on-bluetooth. This is still experimental though, after it was entirely disabled in the recent SteamOS 3.7.13 release following from being enabled in the initial SteamOS 3.7 release.

That is the only change for this SteamOS Beta:

Bluetooth

  • Re-enabled experimental wake-on-bluetooth support for Steam Deck LCD, including support for LE peripherals.

To try it out you need to be in the Beta or Preview channel. You can opt in via Settings > System > System Update Channel.

Even Valve appear to be getting confused by their own version numbers at this point too. As we had the SteamOS 3.17.3 stable release and the SteamOS 3.7.13 Beta that were somehow separate, but now we're up to SteamOS 3.7.14 so back to normal.

My LCD Steam Deck since the 3.7.13 Beta has also been doing the repeating issue of showing me the same update available again, which Valve were supposed to have solved previously. Hopefully with the 3.7.14 Beta it will stop doing it again.

News article: "Re-enabled experimental wake-on-bluetooth support for Steam Deck LCD."
My brain: "...in preparation for the upcoming Steam Controller 2 release"

Its time, Valve. It is time...

It's time. And it's time for the Steam Console to release.
