We're getting a brand new Star Trek: Voyager game and a new Battlestar Galactica game? This is what dreams are made of. Someone pinch me, this can't be real. Janeway who? Look at me, I'm the captain now.

According to the blurb it blends "exploration, ship & resource management, roguelite elements, and meaningful choices" along with "crew dynamics and a fresh take on a beloved sci-fi universe — with what-if scenarios that open up new possibilities". Each play-through is different with it being a roguelite and so you get to play out various different fantasies with it.

I will make every attempt to turn the Borg into my friends. And finally give Kim that promotion. Check out the trailer:

From the press release:

“Star Trek Voyager: Across the Unknown is a project driven by passion—both for storytelling and for the legacy of Star Trek,” says Jonas Hüsges, COO at Daedalic Entertainment. “We’re excited to bring the U.S.S. Voyager crew back into the spotlight in a way that feels true to canon while offering new narrative frontiers to explore.”

“As lifelong fans of Star Trek, we’re thrilled to contribute to this iconic universe,” adds Daniel Bernard, Game Director at gameXcite. “This game isn’t just about nostalgia—it’s about giving players the conn and letting them chart their own course through the unknown.”

I am excited. 🥳

As soon as Elite Force 3 may be announced I will start questioning reality, too ^^

...Daedalic Entertainment...
...

That will go down well, I'm sure.

I know they are not developing any more, but they still face an uphill battle with convincing players, with the distasteful stain of gollum on their reputation and the steady stench of big ben interactive looming over them.

Star Trek isn't what it used to be anymore. Hopefully this is good and a worthy addition to Voyager.

It's hard to believe there was a time when Voyager was considered the worst of Star Trek, but after the Star Trek slop that has been released over the past couple decades, it now looks like one of the classics.

Although I'm wondering if the developers chose Voyager instead of the more popular original series or Next Generation, or even Deep Space 9, because the license was cheaper.

You know for a fact the moment you give Kim a promotion, the quadrant is going to end.
