A fresh update on the upcoming game Hytale which will no doubt be quite popular, and it will have what they now say is "experimental" Linux support.

I've covered the game a few times recently, since it moved from being under Riot Games to being cancelled and then revived as an indie game again and they did previously confirm Linux support for it.

Coming from another post on social media (X) from Kevin Carstens, the Co-Founder and Tech Director for Hytale, Carstens notes:

This is really great to read, and shows that compared to a lot of developers that Hypixel Studios are really going the extra mile here for Linux players. Hopefully the initial launch goes well for them and for everyone waiting on it. Their current plan is to have it available starting January 13th so we'll be sure to take a good look.

My impression is that programming itself is slowly moving towards Linux, and that this movement is not as big in games development (due to obvious reasons), but it's touching game development as well. The case sounds a bit like Baldur's Gate 3 - some developers that are just too much into Linux to ignore it. I like.
