I simply love how indie developers constantly come up with new weird and wonderful combinations. Tile Tactics looks like it will properly hook me in.
A tower defense game that blends in roguelike mechanics, where everything on the map is a tile. Towers don't upgrade directly, it's all about placing down new tiles near them to buff your grid. You also have to use a "slot shop" to gamble away on getting new tiles. Overall - it really does sound unique, I can't say I've personally seen another that's similar to this.

From the Steam page:
Tile Tactics is a tower defense roguelike where everything is a physical tile. In this game, your towers don't level up: you have to place physical Upgrade tiles right next to them to boost their power!
Luck Luck Luck
Get your towers from the slot shop! It's all random baby! Try and re-roll to get the tiles you want or make do with what you're dealt ! I'm sure you'll find what you need (or not!). Do not fear experimentation!
Explore and Destroy
Choose from unique bases that grant massive starting perks, then drop into a procedurally generated map. The world is made of hand-drawn pixel art and it's fully destructible. Use explosive tiles to clear space or blast apart the terrain to find secret tiles hidden underneath the rocks.
Game Highlights:
- Physical Upgrades: Your buffs are tiles. Position them wisely to create the ultimate defense.
- 150+ Tiles: Tons of Attack, Support, Upgrade, Special (and more!) tiles to discover and combine.
- Slot Shop: A high-stakes way to build your grid between waves!
- Randomized Runs: New maps and destructible secrets every time you play!
- Chaotic Pace: It starts simple but quickly turns into a fast-paced battle for survival!
Yep, right onto my wishlist this goes for sure. I'm no doubt going to put endless hours into this.
