The Steam client has been updated with lots of improvements and fixes from the recent beta versions. The Steam Controller has seen lots of changes.

Steam Controller:
- Users can now add additional action sets with their own sets of bindings. Essentially you can completely change the key bindings during a game.
- Added New Controller Action binding types which will expand in the future with bindings that are not specific to the game, but rather higher level.
- Added Change Action Set Binding - sets the action set to the next or a specified action set when - used.
- Added Show Keyboard Binding - shows the on-screen keyboard
- Added Take Screenshot Binding - takes a screenshot
- Added Joystick Click and A/B/X/Y as mode shift buttons
- Action set Display and Beep are now options to show what action set has been switched to
- Added a pop-up menu to the Big Picture overlay showing Action Set activation
- Added user definable action sets for legacy games.
- Lots of bug fixes

See the full changelog here.

The on-screen Keyboard still doesn't work correctly on Linux, as it seems to steal all focus and input. I am looking forward to that being fixed. Article taken from GamingOnLinux.com.

Cool. I opted out of the beta nearly a month ago when it broke some things for me. It's nice to see the stable version catch up to the beta. I think the stable version has reached a point where it's completely unnecessary to be in the beta to use the Steam Controller.

I'm generally using the beta client anyway, but it's nice people on the stable release will get all of the cool new features.

Not to mention the host of VR features - personally I think those are more interesting. It gives us an insight in what to expect from that set.
I really can not wait to read the first reports on how Vive runs with Linux. Crossing fingers and toes it's not a disappointment!

Hey Valve, when you will sell this thing here in South America? I'm tired of seeing it in Steam front page only to get a "coming soon". Some jackasses are selling imported units for over 100 dollars here.

So they still haven't added the option to modify the settings outside Big Picture mode. Does anyone know if Valve has any plans to add it in the future?

Ah, so that explains why Steam suddenly started trying to sell me Windows games on the front page.
