All of that tells me one thing: Telegram is still secure, and hasn't been broken. I am using it for the useful features more than anything.

Anyway, we are going way offtopic ;)

UNIGINE 2.2 released with major new features
By Sslaxx, 28 March 2016 at 10:03 am UTC

Well, they must be making a living if they're still selling it for that much (though I seem to remember earlier versions costing $35k). Somehow I suspect that it's not used much at all for games, and that Unigine aren't terribly fussed about that either.

I appreciate the info, but I never used their crypto in the first place, just regular chat o3o Even though I advocate for privacy, I'm more concerned with getting legislation passed to prevent such invasions in the first place, rather than worry if my specific conversations with my girlfriend is encrypted.

Whatever your reason for securing your communications, I respect that. However, outside of that, Telegram is a fantastic program for those just concerned with talking to each other.

Ive seen people say that, but no one can ever back it up.

That's a shame, I've never given 7DTD a second thought since they pissed us about after they first launched early access, but SL was a really fun game to play ~6 months ago. I just tried it now, at it was a pile of shit, even with everything turned down to low -- corrupted textures and flickering all over the title screen and in game. :/

Yes!! is a real shame!!

I always had problems with this game on Linux. It worked so much better on Windows, even when it was just released (alpha 1.0). The Linux version has much poorer performance and a lot of bugs... I remember that at one point it kinda worked and I played it a lot (about one year ago), since then I only start the game once in a while and sometimes it's broken and other times it's ok. It's just like ping-pong.

Where did you get the 40k number? It's more than 600k (I already gave the link above on statistics: https://the-federation.info ). Also, what's "mandatory"? If you care about FOSS and not supporting those who use your information for profit, then use diaspora*, not FB or G+. For those who don't care that's of course irrelevant. In my understand social network should be a communication tool, not a tool to harvest people's profiles. Therefore it has to be decentralized to avoid such pitfalls.

a 40k users social network isn't so mandatory. Cut out the non-english speakers (seems to be a lot due to the fact that the two bigger servers are german) I think the minimal effort to keep the page up to date isn't worth.

This, right here, is why I will never support early access.

I'm sure it can be improved, and there are several efforts for it. But it's very usable.

By the way, diaspora* has quite a lot of Linux users, because it's probably most feature rich FOSS social network, and decentralized one with that.

My girlfriend and I recently found Telegram after having troubles on my end with the horribly outdated Linux Skype client; e.g. buggy, no instant image sharing, etc. I heartily recommend Telegram for those not put off by the lack of FOSS servers. It has all the features one can expect, sharing images, animated Gifs, videos and links within the app, an Android app, and most importantly: They keep it up to date across all OS's! ^^

I was quite surprised when I saw GOL now has a Telegram feed, but I'm not complaining :P

For an irc client, I recommend Weechat, though I haven't used it for a while. :/

It's wonderfully extensible, with perl, python2, ruby, tcl, and lua support.

So if you find a way, I'd like to know how you managed to get it to work ;-)[/quote]Dang, I didn't realize it was a Direct X 11 title. Oh, well... guess I'll be waiting for their Linux binaries. Thanks for the "heads up"
