REGoth Engine, an open source reimplentation for the game 'Gothic'
12 July 2016 at 2:22 pm UTC

Quoting: SmalokiAlso, since the article doesn't make it clear: this project aims to work for both Gothic and Gothic II (which makes sense, since the two games use pretty much the same engine).
I've made that clearer now, the github only really mentions it at the bottom in the code section so I didn't really notice.

Major new release of open source livestreaming kit 'OBS Studio' fixes Linux window capture issues
12 July 2016 at 11:41 am UTC

Quoting: cprnSorry for kind of unrelated question but version 15.0 on my machine doesn't show "Game" in list of possible sources - do I have to install some library or plug-in? I used "Window" and it worked with XCOM: Enemy Unknown but didn't with e.g. Limbo...
Do you mean when selecting a source for the Window capture the game isn't listed?

Works fine for me:

Black Mesa developer shoots down anti-Linux troll, confirms Linux version is in progress
11 July 2016 at 12:16 pm UTC

Quoting: GBeeThe best way to silence a troll is to ignore them? Then why have you dedicated a whole news item on a popular site to him?
You honestly didn't get it?

The note about ignoring them is a sidenote and not the main focus of the article. It's aimed to remind people who are quoting and replying to the troll which feeds them and make it worse.

I thought this was clear, but needing to repeat this only shows the note in the article was needed.

Quoting: XaeroVincentIMO, it makes more sense to buy an Alpha R2 then put SteamOS or another distribution on it instead of buying the Steam Machine at this point.

Definately not, because the hardware is the same. You can connect the graphics amplifier to the Steam Machine, you just need to support yourself. Because of lack of Windows license to spend money on, the Steam Controller and the game bundle, the Steam Machine is way preferable over installing SteamOS on the Alpha R2.
The more important thing here is buying the Steam Machine tells Alienware it's a sale for SM/SteamOS and not Windows.

Quoting: ky0I like it but it shows non linux games which is controversial to their we love SteamOS!
Anyways gogo Alienware!
That seems to be the filtering issue when it shows the Steam store itself, they can't really help that Valve haven't got their shit together and properly fixed it to only show SteamOS games yet. Still, they could have used a different screen.

Quoting: jf33Nope. Only one extension is left, namely GL_ARB_enhanced_layouts. But this is just true for Broadwell and Skylake hardware.
You're right, I miss-read it :)

This will be delayed by at least an hour due to a poorly child, may even postpone it until another day when I won't have someone running in being sick on me, even if that would make for hilarious viewing.
