Black Mesa developer shoots down anti-Linux troll, confirms Linux version is in progress

Quoting: thelimeydragonThe topic of this article should have been "Black Mesa dev thinks Linux port is totally worth it" why bring up anyone who has nothing to do with the game. It's unprofessional.

The topic of the article is whatever I feel it should be.

I have come across meraco and his repeatedly derailing of posts time and time again, he's a lowlife who seems to search specifically for Linux support posts to counter them. There is no need to do this and it is trolling behaviour because he obviously gets a kick out of pissing Linux supporters off.

It is not unprofessional to have an opinion on your own website, jeezus.

Edit: wrong word used

Quoting: fabry92i will buy it : ) If i reedem a code on linux it count as a linux shop?
Likely not, random key codes from other places before a Linux port exists will usually never count as a Linux sale.

Quoting: JuliusHave been playing this with WINE (platinum support) quite a bit...

As far as I know, it will be a Wine "port", so nothing will really change here.
Where have you heard that?

I'm hoping it will be higher quality in a day or so when it's been entirely processed, it's a 4+ hour video so it's probably taking a while.

QuoteOh, Valve developers forget they do OpenGL again?
Well, technically they do not for any of their Source games, it's just a translation layer that converts the DX9 calls to OpenGL:
https://github.com/ValveSoftware/ToGL

It's a different story for Source 2 though, where they actually support native OpenGL.
I know, it's just amusing that they state it like so.

Yeah this was one of the few games Valve dropped the SteamOS icon for as it doesn't work OOTB on SteamOS but works fine on Linux desktop.
