I make another test in a old computer (Dual Core E6500-2.9Ghzx2, 4GB DDR2, GT740-2GB with 367 driver) and is impossible to play it, 10-20 fps with a lot of frame drops. This is only information, i know that this computer don't meet the system requirements

70-80 fps in High Quality with a GTX950-2GB and Intel i5-2500 (3.3GHZx4). A really decent port. Good job, Feral!

I played about an hour and the game seems to be interesting. I will play it more this weekend

Overlord and Overlord: Raising Hell released for Linux, some thoughts and a port report

I have all overlord games bought in Steam years ago, it's a pity that I can't play it If I own the game. I think that this circumstance is a big error from VP. A lot of people wants to have all the games in the same place. When I buy a game (in Humble Bundle, Bundle Stars, Games Republic, Greenmangaming..) I only have two premises: the game can be activated in Steam, and of course, can be played in Linux natively.

Quoting: X6205Uhm... so unknown game i have never heard off gets a linux release. But users bitching abou Witcher 1 for linux are ignored. Even if VP alredy have Witcher1 eOn port on Mac.. Maybe if they would cooperate with CDR and include also community mods like Rise of the White Wolf or HD texturen mod, it would sell 10 times more than some unknown Overlord 1+2.. but okay. Let´s not be greatefull..

And what about Aspyr or Feral porting their best Mac titles to linux? Titles like Deus Ex:HRDC, Rage, Broderlands 1 or Batman games? Maybe Bioshock 1+2 or KOTOR1? Again nothing.. Not to mention a fact that Mac is a joke platform to port games for. How many mac users actually have top end mac with decent mobile GPU? Less than all linux users.. but let´s not sound frustrating or pissed.. No way. I am sure Aspyr/Feral know better. Of course also VP knows what we don´t know..
I think the same. Witcher 1 would be genial on Linux. I don't have idea if porting games to mac are similar to porting to Linux, but probably the work is half done.

I would like to encourage developers to bring mac ports to Linux .There are a lot of good games in the mac catalog that linux users would like to play/buy .

What do you think, VirtualPrograming/Aspyr/Feral?

I have a big, big disappointment with Rome II Total War and Darksiders I & II. I'm also waiting for Mad Max but I have the feeling (perhaps the hope) that this game will be released soon.

System Shock Pre-Alpha Demo now available on Linux, nearing stretch goal
17 Jul 2016 at 11:39 am UTC

Quoting: GuestThe demo works well here on Gentoo 64 bit but I need to go down to 1280×800 to get a good framerate (~60 FPS) on my GTX 660.

Small issues:
- accented keys can’t be bound
- crackling sound from time to time
- small pauses from time to time
- the objects description text in the inventory is too small, especially in 1280×800
- as usual with Unity 3D games, I get an error that it can’t open the web browser. Why can’t they use xdg-open?
In a GTX950_2GB runs at 30-40 fps in my system (i5-2500, 16GBRAM). It's not great, but is playable. I suppose that this performance will be fixed. In my first run yesterday the sound was crackling, but today the sound runs ok

Meraco again? This is not unusual... I think that is a looser with a lot of free time. Really, his life seems to be very sad and needs a lot of "love"
