War Thunder (awesome game) is a wrapped game, or a native port?

Good review. Basically I'm a little disappointed with it. Perhaps in future this hardware works better. Someone knows how to switch it off?

My Own Thoughts On The Steam Controller, Flawed, But Fun

Probably I do something wrong. I add the line to the existent content:

# This rule is necessary for gamepad emulation; make sure you
# replace 'pgriffais' with the username of the user that runs Steam
KERNEL=="uinput", MODE="0660", GROUP="pgriffais", OPTIONS+="static_node=uinput"

And now it works.

Quoting: liamdaweonly adjustment I did was add the udev rule you need which I covered before.
I do this in my 14.04.3:

https://www.gamingonlinux.com/articles/steam-controller-on-ubuntu-a-tweak-you-need-to-do.6081

But I have the same result. I try to play in my secondary Windows 10 partition and Steam controller works fine without configuring (the controller are ok)

A question, /lib/udev/rules.d/99-steam-controller-perms.rules exists and have the following lines:

#USB devices
SUBSYSTEM=="usb", ATTRS{idVendor}=="28de", MODE="0666"
# Oculus HID Sensor naming and permissioning
KERNEL=="hidraw*", SUBSYSTEM=="hidraw", ATTRS{idVendor}=="2833", MODE="0666"

In a askubuntu [External Link] post says "add the following contents":

# This rule is needed for basic functionality of the controller in
# Steam and keyboard/mouse emulation
SUBSYSTEM=="usb", ATTRS{idVendor}=="28de", MODE="0666"

# This rule is necessary for gamepad emulation; make sure you
# replace 'pgriffais' with the username of the user that runs Steam
KERNEL=="uinput", MODE="0660", GROUP="pgriffais", OPTIONS+="static_node=uinput"

, but this contents are very similar. I add or replace?

Quoting: tuubi
Quoting: leillo1975I don't understand why in my Ubuntu 14.04 64bits I can't use the steam controller normally with native support
Because the kernel in your Ubuntu version doesn't yet include a driver for the device. A driver has been accepted and integrated into version 4.3 of the Linux kernel, but unless you're willing to get your hands dirty, you most likely won't see 4.3 as the default in any Ubuntu release until 16.04/14.04.5 at the earliest. Steam OS on the other hand will most likely include the driver as soon as they can. Also, Valve isn't very likely to provide software for managing your gamepad profiles outside steam, so you'll still need to have steam running if you want access to any advanced functionality.
I use this workaround, but the problem persists

I try to play this game in a computer with Ubuntu 15.10 (4.2.0-18-generic) and it don't work. Liam, you select a community template to play this game or the dafault gamepad template. In the control options into game you se controller keys or keyboard keys?

Finally I use a community configuration with Dirt and Trine3

-Dirt Showdown----> Hypnotoads
-Trine 3----> Fb bind t3

This are simply remaps of keyboard and mouse. Dirt makes me angry because the analogical pad and triggers works like digital.

I don't understand why in my Ubuntu 14.04 64bits I can't use the steam controller normally with native support

Same here!
for Trine 3 you have to manually select gamepad in the options, if its the same problem I had
In options (into the game) I only see keyboard and mouse. I don't have any problem with xbox 360 controller

A question to Liam: You installed Dirt after or before you installed Steam Controller?
