Quoting: gojulI now hope Feral will release TW Rome 2, Shogun 2, Napoleon for Linux (and possibly Rome 1, but not essential)
Without cross-platform-support? Thanks, but NO thanks! They should fix the linux and the windows client alike to make it work.
Au contraire, should such things happen I would be saying thanks and thanks. Not everyone is into multiplayer. I'm not, for instance.
Well, not everyone is into playing with dumb cheating AIs. I'm not, for instance! It is far more fun and challenging with other players.

I'm with cRaZy-bisCuiT. Pass! For now I'm gonna spend the estimated ~120€ to buy more new Warhammer stuff from GWS :D.

Alienware manager on Steam Machines lull: Windows 10 changed things
14 Nov 2016 at 3:05 pm UTC Likes: 1

I'm a bit surprised the sold that well with Windows 10. As far I remember the Steammachines have been 100-150 Bucks cheaper with SteamOS then with Windows. Just wondering as many Windows-Gamers complained about how expensive the Steammachines are, and now they are throwing ~100-150 Bucks more on it because of Windows? xD xD xD

Anyhow! I'm happy with my two Zotac ZBoxes running Linux on it :D

BTW: https://youtu.be/A-Rn0iQEpc8 [External Link] :D

Quoting: SketchStickWas the Steam Machines even available outside of the US? I wanted to buy one but none of them appeared in Australia.
Yes, at least in Europe you could buy the ones from Alienware and the ZBox from Zotac.

Looks like Mojang will be supporting the new Minecraft launcher on Linux

Aspyr Media are reminding Linux gamers not to give up hope on Civilization VI
25 Oct 2016 at 8:26 am UTC Likes: 2

Be patient! Civ 6 release state is - as expected - a Beta with lots of Bugs and an AI dumb like hell. Now Fireaxis will take another 2 years to fix & finish the game. Sell a lot of DLCs on the way. Same procedure as with any Fireaxis Game. Only Beyond Earth seems to fall out of this pattern, which is still bad :/

So if Aspyr does need more time to evaluate a Linux port, they can have it.

'Sky Break', a single-player open-world action & adventure game now on Linux
24 Oct 2016 at 10:03 am UTC

Quoting: ziabiceSeems like "No Man's Sky" without the hype. Wishlisted! ;)
Well, it suffers from the same problems as No Man's Sky: Fancy graphics with a lack of Gameplay and Content.

'Enclave', the 2003 action RPG now has a Linux beta that uses Wine
9 Oct 2016 at 8:48 am UTC Likes: 1

Quoting: chrisqWhy exactly is that better?
I much prefer it being already packaged and delivered by steam.
Because you get the original game files instead of a BLOB. The game is very easy to install already esp. with PlayOnLinux.

Quoting: noinformationhereInteresting. I have this on GOG, where I think I bought it on impulse during some sale. I have never played it, so it would be great if the Linux version makes it there as well...
Well it's literally just a Wine port, so you're better off just getting the GoG Windows version and installing that in your existing Wine setup.
Nope, it is NOT a port, not even literally. Nothing is ported. It's wrapped, but not ported.

Civilization VI for Linux is no longer certain, only a possibility

Well, I wouldn't mind a delay of 1-2 years. That is the time which Fireaxis needs to fix the bugs and improve the AI with lots of DLCs. They release Alpha-Ware mostly. So I can wait :)

BTW: What is going on with Aspyr anyway? They have done excellent ports and now they are silent for almost a year :(
