Reminds me more of Azure Dreams than Pokemon, especially with the breeding two monsters together to make a new monster. Either way, this is one to keep my eye on. :D

The art style looks very much like the early Harvest Moon (Bokujo Monogatari) games. Definitely going to pick this one up!

DayZ is not currently coming to Linux, but the developers are open to it

The text flickers and changes. It makes reading numbers particularly difficult, as they flicker between different values (e.g. 0 and 1, 4 and 7).

I think you missed the part where it's a game. ;)

Unless it was developed with funding from agricultural lobbyist groups, and explicitly encourages young audiences to become factory farmers, I think we can safely assume it isn't designed to be pro-cruel farming propoganda. As such, please take your crusade elsewhere.
