@Jarmer
Look, you don't need to state the reasons why you don't reply. But you seem upset, so why don't you huh. You could maybe start with plans on how to stop this AI phenomena. I'd be all ears dude. That kind of "reply" makes no sense and also does not help!

AI is here and not going away. It's irreversible. You can either deal with it (and use it as a tool, to achieve enormous calculations and so on - which humans could never match) or keep wasting your energy fighting windmills waving yer anti-AI flags or sum. Geez. It's best to acknowledge the reality to keep also your sanity. Great many "jobs" are not eternal, please understand at least this.
Many things get automated gradually and free time of the people increase. We can then do things machines never could. Much humanitarian work to do on this planet if you haven't noticed. Maybe step outside for a while or take a trip to another all different country and realize. More time with family then too.
AI is not all doom and gloom. We can't control everything, it is what it is and people do what people do. How many people can control themselves 100% 24/7 and by what specifications set by who or what?

Hey GOG! Would have supported your platform with thousands of euros at this point, IF you only had a Linux client and support. General Linux support from you also is so-so.
Me and numerous others seem to share this same stance. So come up with the times and embrace the penguin. Or go ahead and perish then :huh:
Steam and Zoom Platform (DRM free) will continue to be supported here on end.

Pop!_OS and KDE Linux will be the two modern Linux flagships in the up and coming i reckon. So much is done pretty much right in means of user friendliness at both camps. You can see it already at their beta's and alpha's. The support for "both" packaging delivery methods, Snap and Flatpak,
Decision from the Akademy BoF: we're keeping Snap. The benefits outweigh the costs, and we're going to allow people to "pick their politics" and get apps from Snap -Nate Graham / KDEis very wise for software availability in modern way and requirements. Sandboxing and universality is important.

GOG don't care about Linux nor Linux users. Zoom Platform is a much better option https://www.zoom-platform.com [External Link] -Linux client and all too.

Not a single buck to GOG to this date because there is NO official Linux support. Zoom Platform has much more passion for their mission already with an official Linux client.
"Tool to streamline installation, updating, and playing Windows games from ZOOM Platform on Linux using umu and Proton.
The script also helps you run our Windows installers on Linux and comes with some handy features to make sure the process goes smoothly.
That includes safety checks, handling updates, installing DLCs, creating desktop entries, a simple uninstaller, and of course automatically applying protonfixes."
Highly recommended :heart: https://www.zoom-platform.com [External Link]

Loving the wise (and user friendly) approach of including both Snaps and Flatpaks (and AFAIK also AppImage). This is the way in an immutable modern system for wide and simple software availability via Discover store. Normal users couldn't care less about philosophies or whatever. Frankly, it's most people who don't want to waste time and just want their apps effortlessly (and sandboxing provides a more secure way without knowing) :heart:

Linux Mint is cartainly not bad though - just that it requires lots of polish (and maybe they lack resources than Ubuntu just have).
Eventually we both gave up and installed Kubuntu instead which works much better. It's sad to see that it has not really improved. I consider Kubuntu a far more useable distro.Yep and Ubuntu in general. No matter which desktop flavor. Many haters just can't grasp what a common user and a beginner needs. Ubuntu provides. Also the best distro to actually get things done in means of real pro work (without these "enthusiasts" endless tinkerin').
