wayland is terrible, they shouldn't force someone to use something. linux is becoming more like windows forcing garbage on users.

@stella - a client isn't needed. in fact i hate clients since its unnecessary just to run a game. steam drm ruined pc gaming with drm and clients being forced.

That is awesome to see more devs making native linux versions. Even 2 years later its still commendable that they considered making a linux version.

Does anyone know about game development? I wonder how making a native linux version works? I know art assets are the same so that shouldn't be different. I am guessing the difference is in code and linux reads certain things different than windows? What parts of game development are different for a native linux version vs windows version?
