This only further underline what both I and many other has insisted in the past, that Feral too use their set of middleware, "wrappers", call it what you want, on their "ports". So the difference between Feral and Virtual Programming are really not that far apart.
And I say this more in VP's defence than to talk down Feral. But in all fairness, it must be said.

Tomb Raider released for Linux, thoughts & port report included, the first Linux game to use TressFX

Isn't TressFX supposed to be for ATI cards? Or is it supported by Nvidia too? Cause else it's no wonder there's a performance dive on Nvidia cards with it turned on...?

The first game surprised me, it was much better than I expected. This seems to build upon that foundation. It gotta be good.

Hm. Interesting. My first thought was "come on Valve, make it a Netflix competitor and charge a monthly fee. Digital rentals are not the way forward."

But if this means access to newer movies faster, then sure why not. But I'd still like to have a Netflix client (and HBO and whoever) in SteamOS.

A 2D strategy game... In space.
SPACE, folks. The ultimate three dimensional room in existence. In SPACE they line up units in a two dimensional grid and fight for dominance. Not on a floor, not on a ground, not on any kind of logical surface, not even thin air - but in the middle of nothing. In SPACE.

It's not like games are the epitome of realism anyway, but FFS: If they want a space theme, at least place the two dimensions onto a planet surface? Or a star base?

I join the anti-turnbased choir.. But since they call it a "shooter" I doubt it's turn-based.

An obvious purchase.

Quoting: maodzedunWhere does the bottleneck come from, though? There is about 20% performance difference between 1080p and 4K which makes zero sense.

It makes all the sense in the world? 4k is only EIGHT TIMES as many pixels to calculate and draw for each frame.
