But what's the tradeoff? Surely there must be one?

Quoting: KeyrockGood news, even if I consider these games obsolete given that Dying Light exists. That's exactly how I see it too. Dying Light is what Dead Island should have been. It's just so much better on every single aspect.

Hm, judging by the comments here this really sounds like my kind of mmorpg. I just hope such an old game have been properly visually upgraded along the way.

I really really hope for the best for these devs. It seems this project is quite a big leap in complexity compared to the relatively simpler Trine games, so I hope they are able to handle it. I am also quite worried what will happen if they don't. As far as I understand the very bad Trine 3 reception (quite deserving too, if I may add) made quite the dent in their economy.
I am of the impression that much depends on this one to succeed.

Quoting: maodzedunI don't see how that would make a difference. It's essentially just a web browser integrated in the Steam client too. The security must be on the server side either way.Quoting: BeamboomAh - if only the Steam client supported such plugins!Unlikely - it would be a security risk, I imagine.

Quoting: maodzedunActually, you can use that enhanced Steam plugin for that. It adds both meta scores on all game pages.Ah - if only the Steam client supported such plugins!

They should implement real reviews to the interface instead, that'd be a vast improvement in my opinion.
The metascore rating seems to be optional for the publisher - I wish it was mandatory, with a tabbed option to see "user reviews" or "professional reviews".

Quoting: Comandante oardoSomething must be wrong with this game. In the Linux version of the original Metro Last Light, a well known GPU demanding game, I have permanent 60FPS with a GTX 750ti, but with this game I have locked 30FPS with the same hardware, in Normal and High quality.. And the game doesn't look better than M:LL...Metro was a "true" port, ie no middleware added on the stack. So Metro is an example of how the games would have ran is the code were "truly" native
