Age Of Wonders III Strategy Game Confirmed For Linux
13 Jun 2014 at 5:41 am UTC

Ok I'm gonna be a real spoiled brat now but please bear with me guys:
I think it's far, far too many strategy games on PC. Sometimes it feels like pretty much every title of a certain size are at least partially strategy based.

I mean, sure, there are other genres too. But if one look at the rooster for upcoming games then hot damn how many of them who are strategy based. Strategy RPG, strategy shooter, strategy platformer, strategy strategy strategy. And the indies? Turn-based strategy all the way, baby!

Thanks. I just had to let that rant off my chest.
I am no big strategy fan. :)

Virtual Programming Are Working To Improve The Witcher 2 On Linux

Quoting: AnonymousYou know you could report that bug to them if you didn't already.
It's obviously all over the Steam forums - including the step-by-step guide to fix it. But in my opinion that's beside the point here:
The point is that you just don't release something with a bug like that. You don't. You have a Q&A that catch such things on their first hour at work.

When you purchase and install a game, you expect the friggin' keyboard to work.

Seriously, there is a bug where the keyboard config were wrongly saved in two different config files, and the latter would override the changes made by the config tool, leaving the keyboard non-functional without manually deleting the lines in the second config file. It's *that* broken.

And seeing how this is the case, you simply can not be too harsh on them. This version is a travesty, it was nowhere near ready for release.

Alienware's Steam Machine Fully Announced, They Aren't Using SteamOS
10 Jun 2014 at 8:17 am UTC

I'm thinking perhaps this is a consequence of the delay of the controller and launch of the OS, could it be that Alienware had long planned this unveil and now rather frenetically changed this bundle to be able to deliver it on the market as planned?

I know, it's a rather thin theory but damn... You can't call a Windows PC a Steam Machine!

PlayCanvas 3D WebGL Game Engine Now Open Source

Quoting: AnonymousSounds promising .. but rather as flash replacement for games. I like it. Maybe games like Tibia should think about it.
I agree, I too see this as a flash replacement. And it's about time!
