S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Legends of the Zone Trilogy Enhanced Edition is out now, needs a workaround on Linux

There is no relation between nazism and soviet symbols. They are two entirely different ideologies.
Insert same, same, but different, but still same meme here.

Sure, there were differences, but not in a good vs. evil sense. Both were violent genocidal regimes fighting over influence. The reason why they were on opposite sides is because both wanted control over Europe.

My people did not join the soviet empire willingly. Many were deported to concentration camps in Siberia and died there. Others died fighting. We did not want nazis and we did not want soviets, but neither cared about what we wanted. So yeah, I don't see much of a difference.

I was born in the soviet empire, and for me a hammer and sickle is much the same as the nazi swastika. The difference is that nazis are no more, and I don't need to worry about them busting through my front door. Russians on the other hand are still erecting statues for the genocidal maniac Stalin, and keep threatening to destroy Europe. So even if I don't support changing games for political reasons, you cannot expect the devs to be impartial and neutral just for the sake of art when their homes are being bombed and friends being killed.

Sorry for getting all worked up, it's a painful topic for me.

Manjaro Linux lead gives more info on the new ZOTAC GAMING ZONE handheld with AMD

But why not just use Steam OS? Why spend all this effort on a niche platform that nobody asked for? I have never heard of Zotac One launcher, and cannot imagine why would I possibly want it? A handheld device like this is not worth much without an ecosystem to back it up.

A bit late to the discussion, but for people looking for a drop-in replacement for Microsoft Office, you may want to take a look at WPS Office: https://www.wps.com/office/linux/ [External Link] It is an office suite from China that is as close to being a clone of Microsoft Office as it gets. It is not open-source though.

Does this also work when Steam Deck is suspended or powered off?

Not me, but the code is already used.

Steam Survey for April 2025 results available, Linux sits at 2.27%

The survey doesn't only come up in desktop mode.
Really? I have been running Steam primarily in Big Picture mode for something like 7 years now, and I have only ever seen the survey pop-up when I switched to desktop mode.

I do wonder how are they sampling Steam OS stats? I would imagine most Steam Decks are in Big Picture mode basically all the time, and the survey only pops up in Desktop mode. Wouldn't that skew it heavily against a Steam Deck ever being included in the survey?

Reminds me of "Control" quite a bit...
They take place in the same universe.

Valve's SteamOS 3.7.3 Preview improves support for Asus and Lenovo handhelds

I have been using SteamOS on my homemade Steam Machine, and it's looking good. The power limit slider correctly goes to 165 W, can switch between 120 MHz and 60 MHz as supported by my TV. So it's not just for handhelds.
