Baldur's Gate 3 gets more Steam Deck improvements in Hotfix 35 with their native version

And Larian let this dev go through with developing a native Linux version. That includes supporting this version too in terms of maintaining it. They made this choice. Where other studios say that 3 percent market share is not enough.

I haven't seen stuff like this happen before. Like the dev who wants to create a Linux version of Playnite because the dev wants to switch and devs own app is holding that switch back.

The YT channel Linux for Everyone did a video where a clip from a main stream media tech program was played. The slow death of Windows it is called. There one of the people said that children today don't know about Microsoft. And another said that we're raising a generation of gamers, and they're all switching to Linux. Boom!

TLDR: something is happening. And I am here for it. With popcorn.

I'm very much a noob when it comes to Blender but I donate every month because it's an example of how open source should work.

Hello from Fedora KDE

Have been using Fedora KDE for a long time now. Never felt the need to switch.

So, the dev will create a Linux version because dev wants to switch to Linux? That's a new one.

Welcome to the neighborhood!

Anti-cheat will still be one of the biggest problems for the new Steam Machine

What I also see is many testimonials on YT of people switching to Linux. And most of the time the reasons are Windows getting bloated and all the spying tools being installed.

If people are concerned about their privacy and security, then it's only a matter of time before they realize that giving a random company ring zero access to their system is a very bad idea.

My advise is always:

1. Create a subnet which cannot access your home network.
2. Build a dedicated PC and put it on this subnet. And never put your personal stuff on it.
2.a. or get a console like a ps5 and put that one in that subnet.

If Valve comes up with something which would allow for KLAC then I hope there is an opt-in switch. So default off and let the owner choose to enable it.

He he. We were all like: it's going to be a controller, no, it's going to be a Steam machine, no, it's going to be a VR headset.

Turns out it's all of the above.

Thank you Mister Lord Gaben Sir!
