Quoting: Grim85Don't give newbies arch, when an untested package breaks it they are going to blame "Linux" and go back Windows. Not if they don't upgrade their boxes.
Quoting: "neowiz73"I guess 2016 may in fact be the "year of the linux desktop"2012 was the year of the Linux desktop (Ubuntu 12.04 was so good). But 2016 may be the year we make the Linux desktop great again.

Quoting: CreakThere are 349 "vanilla" Ubuntu, but KDE is first in the DE's list. Considering the distributions stats, we should have Unity on top, then a fight between KDE and GNOME.What about people who installed plain Ubuntu and afterwards installed the superior Plasma DE themselves?

Aw, so few geekos. Well, I guess it makes sense that gamers tend more towards the *buntu side of Linux, as that's what Steam and GoG recommend.

People will stop using the term "PC" to mean "Windows", as soon as people stop using the term "Linux" to mean "GNU/Linux".
I still say Linux, so it might take a while.

Anyway... good thing there are a bunch of alternatives, though some of them might need a bit more work on the game feel.

Quoting: meracoIs this even legal?Er, yes. I mean, why wouldn't it be? It's their game, they're free to do whatever they want with it.

The game is pretty decent until the ending.
I know that there've been plenty of games with happy good endings, and occasionally a bit more of a downer can't hurt, but seriously.
If you want a downer ending done well, play Persona 3. LIS doesn't manage the same quality of writing.
At least, in my opinion.

Quoting: dmantioneLack of games is mostly a perceived problem. In fact, for a console gamer, a Steam Machine has a wealth of games available never seen before. Therefore reducing this perception, for example by hiding Windows-only games, might be just as important as well as getting more games available. You could also think of targeted advertising pointing to games that are on SteamOS, but not (yet) on consoles. The arguments about lack of games is a combination of quantity and quality. Don't get me wrong, it's neat for there to be hundreds or thousands of small indie games on Linux. However, when AAA titles are basically not being released for SteamOS (not to mention the absolute lack of any console sellers, which also killed the PS Vita), you have to realize that many gamers just aren't interested.
Have you seen Black Ice? A really rather cool hack and shoot FPS with Linux & SteamOS support
