Shadowrun: Hong Kong, A New Game & Kickstarter From Harebrained Schemes

*Sigh* I liked SR and loved Dragonfall. Unfortunately Kickstarter runs through Amazon, which is terrible, so I'll have to wait until a site that does allow either Paypal or Bitcoin comes along.

C4 Engine Drops Linux Support, Developer Says Linux Is Inferior

I'm an Archer and I have problems with Ubuntu 14.04/14.10: for some reason the entire system gets installed under some kind of /@ folder instead of good old /.

Also, game development happens typically pretty close on the hardware when compared to what web servers do. So I can understand his pains in a way, that being said...

The way he lashed out was as unreasonable as how I lash out against Google and Microsoft, which are the two most evil companies in existence. Linux isn't a company (well, okay it kind of is Red Hat), it's a Free Software kernel. If he's got a problem with GNU/Linux, he's welcome to step in and send his own fixes to a maintainer.

Quoting: tadzikBoth "Shadowrun Returns: Dragonfall" and "Dragonfall" are on the list, seems like a bug :)
I nominated Shadowrun Returns: Dragonfall, but I don't know if Dragonfall was on the list at the time, I didn't check for it.

Oh damn, I hit submit before I noticed the gamepad question related only to Linux games, I only use it for emulation.

I think it's been proven that players using M+KB can play better than players using a gamepad, but don't quote me on that.

What Can You Do For Linux Gaming?

If we have to select a distro to be the "default", I'd like to suggest Gentoo. We tend to be more aware of what can cause problems on our systems and how to fix it compared to people who run, say, Ubuntu and don't know half of what's installed on their machines.

I doubt Weather Monk's gonna make its target. It's kinda unfortunate, but that's life.

Instead of complaining anyone who wants the game can port it themselves. They're kinda giving you the go ahead there.

Is this a rerun? I feel like I've heard this story (or one like it) before.

Funny, I kickstarted it way back when, but the more I hear about it, the less I like it.

Okay, so I said "more games natively than under wine", because I play many different games natively and using different emulators (dosbox, gemrb,...). On the other hand I put much more time in the games I play under wine, so time-wise I'd say it's almost 50/50.

OpenSUSE KDE FTW!
