I played it ages ago (around InDev 15-ish I think), and it was fun enough. Clearly it's changed a lot with multiple villages and a lot of new/different mechanics. Every now and then I look at it and wonder if I want to re-install and give it another try, but I never do in the end.
Even back then, it seemed like a game that needs a really robust tutorial. Anyone who's been keeping up, does it have that? And how's the balancing of the enemy monsters? It was a little lopsided back then in favour of the monsters.

Ah, I just noticed that the Itch front page is showing me Windows-only games again. Didn't the old client filter by what OS you were running the client in, unless told otherwise? Now I get to look at all this stuff I can't play natively.

Holy crap, I install and after entering my email and pass I have to go through FOUR captchas. That's a bit excessive.
Actually I went through seven because I had a typo when I entered my email. So three captchas the first time and four the next. I would say one is unnecessary and two is too much. This many is ridiculous.

Basically I see Itch as Bandcamp, but for games. Love the fact that small projects and developers have a place to go without having to deal with the sort of hoops the big stores need to put in place.
I see they've been working a lot on discoverability, which is really key for a service like this. Stuff like capsule should help, and I'll be interested to see what else they add in that vein in the future.

Still playing a bunch of oldschool (WotLK) WoW on a private server via Wine, plus a bit of Avernum 4 via Proton on the side. Starting to get the itch to take another run at Pillars of Eternity though, so I may switch over once I get it re-installed.

The art reminds me a lot of Tiny Bang Story, I wonder if the artist from that is involved.

Huh. And I was looking at AER in the GoG sale, but this is even better.
Is Torment any good if I didn't play the first game (and probably won't)?

I've got an odd craving to take another shot at Avernum 5, but I don't really want to screw with beta stuff with Proton. Maybe once it's got a full, stable release but not right now.
