My efforts to get Paypal (through support) to stop bullying itch.io have been largely ineffective. I will likely cancel my account of that surveillance-sta.. payment processor, and donate to this an other project that were abruptly affected by this wave of changes.

It can also be the case that your GPU can support all of the features without having that quick label applied, depending upon when your vendor stops supporting the driver. Those making games/apps should be querying the extensions directly, and not the version number, but...

As much as I love Valve, proton outside Steam needs to exist. Hooking up windows games from Gog or itch.io to Steam is a mild pain. Here's to a little competition, even if a little outmatched. :smile:

SDL has had the ability to talk to Vulkan since 2.0.6, five years ago, https://discourse.libsdl.org/t/sdl-2-0-6-released/23109 [External Link] . I believe this means when you say to SDL, "hey go draw this" (not through OpenGL or Vulkan directly), it can use Vulkan if it wants. Usually those rendering APIs that come in the windowing APIs are... on the simple side. https://wiki.libsdl.org/SDL2/SDL_Renderer [External Link] , so I can't them having the hundreds and hundreds of possible commands of OpenGL or Vulkan.

A few years ago, dropping 32-bit support would have raised pitchforks. Now it is just a passing mention. How times have changed, it appears for the better.
